AI DESIGN TAPPED BY ALPINE ELECTRONICS AS DEALER FOR REVOLUTIONARY NEW LINE

Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. selected Tuckahoe, New York-based Ai Design as their first authorized dealer/installer for their just introduced Alpine F#1Status. Alpine F#1Status is the pinnacle of car audio, featuring the first 384kHz/32bit high-resolution audio playback for the car audio industry and will only be available through a small and very select number of dealers in North America.

Ai Design founder Matt Figliola was excited to get the news. “We’re honored that Alpine singled us out as the very first dealer for the new F#1Status. We’ve utilized their components since our start in the industry and we’ve always been impressed with their quality and innovation. This third generation of F#1Status is the culmination of everything Alpine has learned in over four decades. We were F#1Status dealers for the first two generations and realize what that distinction means for us, but also what the product standards will be with the new system. While it has been over a decade since the last F#1Status generation, we expect this new fully-integrated system to be well worth the wait.” Last week, Ai Design took delivery of the very first F#1Status system shipped in North America.

When he heard about the new system, one of Ai Design's good clients raised his hand to get that very first installation in North America. While the client has an impressive fleet of vehicles, the one he chose for the install was surprisingly fun: his pristine 1997 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 two-door pickup. The short cab installation is necessitating some creative solutions and intricate fabrication particularly for the large subwoofer. But this is where Ai Design really shines.

With this third generation of Alpine F#1Status, the company with be able to deliver an unparalleled music experience through a completely integrated system, “transforming a space used for transportation into a superior acoustic environment.” It will be “the first in the industry to achieve 384kHz/32bit high-resolution audio playback, the highest recording spec possible in a car audio system. This is more than 17 times the amount of digital audio data in a standard CD (44.1kHz/16bit). Audio is reproduced with a level of quality that is not possible with CDs and allows listeners to experience music details that were previously exclusive to a live performance, such as the breath of the artist and subtle interactions with instruments. The AlpineF#1Status system truly allows listeners to experience recording studio-level sound within a vehicle.”

To create accurate sound reproduction, development was focused on three critical parameters: Time scale synchronization of audio signal transmission, sound arrival and custom tone frequency range of a 4-way speaker system. The system is comprised of six distinct components:  

HDS-7909 head units, B.Box, DAP-7909 Digital Audio Player, HDP-H900 Audio Processor, HAD-F900 Amplifier, and the 4-way speaker system. F#1Status will only be sold as a complete system.
